FC SAL ACADEMICOS

Welcome to FC SAL Academicos. We are a non-profit youth football club representing the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. FC SAL Academicos operates both competitive and recreational community football programs in the North County (South San Francisco area), South County (Redwood City area), Central County (San Mateo area) and West County (Half Moon Bay area) regions of San Mateo County.

MISSION

The FC SAL Academicos program believes the pursuit of excellence and high level activity should be encouraged.  We believe the studies that reveal participation in top-level athletics helps teenagers excel in school, stay fit, and avoid drugs and alcohol.  Healthy competition develops player maturity and self-confidence, and the team experience will benefit players throughout their lives. Players are encouraged to develop their soccer skills to their maximum potential and to function successfully as team members.  The team strives to promote a healthy competitive spirit, good sportsmanship and other positive personal attributes that players may draw on throughout their lives.  FC SAL Academicos further supports participation based on individual interest and ability rather than economic circumstance.  By developing the character and skill of its players, FC SAL Academicos seeks to foster parents’ support for their child’s soccer program and to achieve excellence on both a state and regional basis.

CLUB GOALS

Goals:

  • To create a positive soccer environment for players, coaches, parents and fans.
  • To have a curriculum for each age group to develop soccer skills and knowledge to each player’s maximum potential
  • To develop teamwork and camaraderie.

FC SAL Academicos expects a style of play that is both technically sound and reflects a high level of effort by each player.
